Orange and Lemon Fairy Frosting Recipe.


You will need:

1 envelope gelatin.
1/4 cup water.
1/3 cup orange juice.
2 tablespoons lemon juice.
1 egg white.
1 & 1/2 cups sifted icing sugar.

Directions:

Add the gelatin to the water and allow to disolve over hot water. Leave until cold but not set. Add the starined fruit juice. Beat the egg white until stiff; pour in the gelatin and juice mixture gradually, beating well all the time. Slowly mix in the sifted confectioner' sugar, beating until thick. Spread between layers and over the top of the cooled cake. Sufficient for filling an 8 inch layer cake.
