Coffee Cake Recipe.


You will need:

1/2 cup butter.
1/2 cup sugar.
2 eggs.
2 tablespoons instant coffee powder.
1 & 1/2 cups all purpose flour.
2 teaspoons baking powder.
1/4 cup milk

Directions:

Line a 9 x 3 inch spring form pan with greased wax paper. Preheat the oven to 360 degrees Farenheit. Cream the butter and sugar until light, white and fluffy. Beat the eggs and add one third at a time to the creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Add the instant coffee powder and beat well until blended smoothly. Sift the flour and baking powder and add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Spread into the prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before turning the cake out onto a wire cooling rack to cool. Frost with coffee flavoured icing.
